Bayou Burgers





This is the recipe that made 10th grade home ec worth it. I hated that class... but I learned to make awesome damn burgers.

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup mayonnaise
2/3 tablespoon chili sauce
1/6 tsp hot pepper sauce
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 egg
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce

Mix first three ingredients together. Cover and put in the fridge.

Combine remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape into four patties.

Place patties on broil pan about 4" from heat. Broil 5 minutes on each side. Toast buns if desired.

Spread sauce on bottom half of bun. Top with patty, lettuce leaf, and tomato slice.
